Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning. But for children play is serious learning. Play is really the work of childhood.

Della Casa Montessori is a private preschool located in southeast Colorado Springs at 1729 Crest Place, 80911. 

Our school building was converted from a residential property to a commercial early learning center. It is the perfect space for our small Montessori preschool. Our program has a single classroom licensed to accommodate up to 17 children. 

The casual reception area is perfect for grabbing a coffee and getting to know other parents.  In addition, our location offers a large and thoughtful outdoor classroom and playground.

You and your child are invited to visit our classroom. Initial tours take about 45 minutes and are typically offered on Wednesdays by appointment only. No other children will be at school at this time. 

During your tour you can expect to get to know our staff and familiarize yourself with the Montessori environment and materials. Your tour is an informal opportunity to ask questions and observe your child in a new environment. 

You may also schedule a time to observe the classroom when students are present to get a better understanding of the Montessori method.

We are currently enrolling students for our 2026 summer sessions and for Fall 2026/Spring 2027.

We prioritize families with a strong interest in the Montessori method. Please familiarize yourself with the Montessori method before applying.

The application process begins when you contact us or at the time of your scheduled tour. If we are in agreement that Della Casa Montessori is the best fit for your family, you will be invited to set up a Brightwhell account. 

You will be provided with a general admission form and additional enrollment documents once you have set up your Brightwheel account. 

A follow up meeting may be scheduled to review the enrollment documents if either party has additional questions or concerns. 

A non-refundable enrollment fee of $150 is due at the time of your enrollment meeting. Transition days will be scheduled during enrollment.

 The tuition rate is $650/mo for the 2026/2027 school year and reflects equal payments over 10 months of the contracted schedule of attendance. 

We are currently working to become a UPK Provider for the 

2026/2027 school year.

Tuition is billed through our online platform on the 1st of each month. Tuition is not prorated for absences, including illness or travel. Make up days may be offered in the event of an unexpected closure.

Holiday closures are taken into account when determining monthly tuition rates. Tuition will not be refunded if the contract is prematurely terminated. 

Della Casa Montessori is a half day early learning program. 

 School is from 8:45am-12:30pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Students will not attend on Wednesdays, which are designated teacher workdays. 

The school year runs from 

August - May.

We expect you to pick up your child on time. Late fees will be assessed.  Snack is included. Lunch is not included.

Della Casa Montessori is licensed by the State of Colorado Department of Early Childhood, Division of Early Learning and Administration and is permitted by El Paso County. Licensing details and inspection reports are accessible to the public for review at any time at:

The Policies and Procedures governing Della Casa Montessori have been developed in compliance with state licensing requirements and have been approved by our licensing specialist. You will be given a paper copy of our Policies and Procedures, which will be reviewed at the time of your enrollment meeting.  Our Policies and Procedures will be updated annually or whenever changes are made.

Health, safety, and wellbeing are prioritized at Della Casa Montessori. 

Our commitment to the development of the whole child extends to health and wellness through social-emotional learning, respect for the environment, personal hygiene, nutrition, and physical activity.  Our safety protocols are informed by state licensing requirements and can be found in our Policies and Procedures.
