Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning. But for children play is serious learning. Play is really the work of childhood.

Della Casa Montessori is a private preschool located in southeast Colorado Springs at 1729 Crest Place, 80911. Our school building was converted from a residential property to a commercial early learning center. It is the perfect space for a boutique Montessori preschool. Our program has a single classroom that accommodates up to 15 children. The casual reception area is perfect for grabbing a coffee and getting to know other parents.  In addition, our location offers a large and thoughtful outdoor classroom and playground.

You and your child are invited to visit our classroom. Initial tours are typically offered on Mondays between 9:30am - 12:30pm by appointment only. No other children will be at school at this time. During your tour you can expect to get to know our staff, familiarize yourself with the Montessori environment and materials, and spend time enjoying our outdoor classroom. Your tour is an informal opportunity to ask questions and observe your child in a new environment. You may join our waitlist before or after your tour. You may also schedule a time to observe the classroom when students are present to get a better understanding of the Montessori method.

Our waitlist for September 2023 is forming now. We are currently taking applications for 2.5-3 year olds. If you are considering enrollment at Della Casa Montessori, please complete and submit our Waitlist Form online. This will secure your position in line. We will contact you in the order in which your form is received. You may join the waitlist before or after touring our school. Keep in mind that the status of our waitlist fluctuates given the array of factors that influence confirmed enrollment. Joining our waitlist does not guarantee enrollment; however, it does initiate the application process. We will do our best to accommodate  families with a strong interest in our program and the Montessori method. 

The application process begins when you join the waitlist or at the time of your scheduled tour. You will be provided with an application form and additional enrollment documents upon request.  Once your application has been reviewed and accepted, an enrollment meeting will be scheduled. A non-refundable enrollment fee of $150 is due at the time of your enrollment meeting. Transition days will be scheduled during enrollment.

 The tuition rate is $700/mo and reflects equal payments over 9 months of the contracted schedule of  attendance. Tuition is billed through our online platform on the 1st of each month. Tuition is not prorated for absences, including illness or travel. Holiday closures are taken into account when determining monthly tuition rates. Tuition will not be refunded if the contract is prematurely terminated. 

Della Casa Montessori is a part time early learning program.  School is from 9:00am-1:00pm Tuesday - Friday. We expect you to pick up your child on time. Mondays are reserved for teacher work days, professional development, classroom maintenance, and licensing compliance. Normal school days run from September - May. 

*Summer programs may be offered at an additional cost.

Della Casa Montessori is licensed by the State of Colorado Department of Early Childhood, Division of Early Learning and Administration and is permitted by El Paso County. Licensing details and inspection reports are accessible to the public for review at any time at:

The Policies and Procedures governing Della Casa Montessori have been developed in compliance with state licensing requirements and have been approved by our licensing specialist. You will be given a paper copy of our Policies and Procedures which will be reviewed at the time of your enrollment meeting.  Our Policies and Procedures will be updated annually or whenever changes are made.

Health, safety, and wellbeing are prioritized at Della Casa Montessori.
